ASPIRING STUDENTS & EMPLOYEES

Link OT, LLC targets individuals aged 18 and up with sensory, neurodevelopmental, and/or learning differences.

 
 

WHAT TO EXPECT

  1. At initial evaluation, we formally and objectively assess:

    • Career aptitude

    • Interests 

    • Skills and strengths

  2. We then work alongside the client to develop short and long term goals that are in alignment with post-secondary and/or employment expectations. Targeted expectations may be:

    • Specific to desired training or career track

    • General, including targeting life skills or sensory deficits interfering with ability to seek career track

  3. We help clients:

    • Fill in the gaps” to address identified goal areas.

    • Establish relationships with post-secondary or employment connections.

    • Self-advocate for needs based on federal and state legislation (such as IDEA, ADA, section 504). 

  4. We are available where clients need us, and can provide services at the client’s:

    • Home

    • School/university

    • Office

  5. With transition support to:

    • Promote successful integration and performance in the work or school environment

    • Educate and support the client’s team, which may include:

      • Primary care physician, 

      • Family members,

      • Teachers/professors, 

      • Employer

 

PREREQUESITES

Link OT's are looking forward to working with you! However, we are listing a few prerequisites for participation in order to best meet our clients' needs. Client must be:

  1. Conversational (assistive devices included).

  2. Able to perform daily routines (including light meal preparation or medication management) with less than or equal to minimal supervision.

  3. Be attending or have graduated from high school.

  4. Be motivated to seek post-secondary education and/or employment.

  5. Be independent with mobility (assistive devices included).
